Hi, I’m Glen. I am a personal trainer, fitness writer, dad, husband, and generally awesome guy.`ProfilePic

Philosophy:

Fitness is not one size fits all. My goal is to offer fitness solutions for most anyone. If you need to lose 15 pounds or 100 pounds; if you’re fitness enthusiast or just starting out – I want to connect you to a solution that works best for you. I take a “client first” approach. I do not pre-design personal training packages and try to fit you into a mold. I want to get to know you and your goals and find you a solution that fits around you.

My story:

I was into team sports from a young age into high school playing soccer, baseball, basketball, and football. I also enjoyed riding BMX bikes recreationally. In high school I ended up losing interest in team sports and ended up getting into weightlifting, which I continued to enjoy into my twenties.

In my early twenties I made some poor lifestyle choices and ended up gaining a lot of weight – apparently lots of beer, fried foods, and lack of exercise will do that to you. Who knew? In my late twenties I remember my 6 year old daughter telling me, “Dad, you look like you’re pregnant!” I asked her how she really felt, and she said, “I really feel bad for you.” Ouch.

With that, I knew I had to do something. I tried some short-term fixes, but eventually found that consistent exercise and proper nutrition (a lifestyle change) was the solution. I lost nearly 60 pounds! That was back in 2010, and since then I have kept the weight off.

Coming to a crossroads in my life, I decided on a career change. My previous jobs were in construction and bartending, but I didn’t really have a passion for pushing dirt around or making margaritas. One thing I always had a passion for was fitness, even though I had a little backslide in my 20’s with my own physical condition. So my next career choice was obvious: personal training and fitness coaching.

Now my goal is to bring the gift of health to people through fitness and lifestyle habits using my professional knowledge and personal experience.
